2007 Record (7-9)
Key Losses: Larry Tripplett (DT), Peerless Price (WR)
Key Additions: Kawika Mitchell (LB), Marcus Stroud (DT)
The Bills were hammered with injuries last season and still managed a near respectable record. The draft was deep for them and looks pretty solid. But this team gave up way too many yards last year, especially on the ground (4.4 ypc) and will need to improve significantly on D to get too many more wins in 08-09. The addition of Stroud and Mitchell will help, but these players are past their prime and although an upgrade are not likely difference makers for this team.
The schedule doesn’t look too tough for Buffalo and they always have a nice home field edge. The real key to this team staying in the wildcard picture will be QB Edwards and RB Lynch taking the ever popular “next step” in becoming studs. If this happens, 9-7 is not out of the question. This team has as many question marks as any playoff potential team in the AFC.
Predicted 2008-09 Record: 8-8
