The Chiefs officially say they are now in full blown rebuild mode. What were they in last season? KC has a great draft but just days into camp both # 1 picks were injured and missing time. Dorsey has made it back and has looked OK, not spectacular but he’ll be fine. However, Albert who was to move to guard and desperately needed the pre-season will be back for week 1 at best.
The Chiefs will rely very heavily on a lot of young players, including a QB that has plenty of question marks still running a new offense. The offense is designed to be simplified to make the job of Chiefs QB behind a bad offensive line a little easier. It’s going to be another long year for the Chiefs.
As handicappers we’ll be looking to play the under in nearly every Chiefs game as the defense might be the only place this team has improved and the offense will be very hard pressed to produce first downs much less points.
2008-09 Predicted Record: 3-13
