Tough day yesterday, maybe that’s what I get for waiting so late to make my picks – I thought too much.

Indianapolis Colts +4 over @Tennessee
The Titans just don’t have enough offense to extend the margin that much.  This one stays close and if by chance the Titans do open some space the Colts more than capable of a backdoor cover.  In close games taking 4 points is a smart pick.

Broncos/Patriots OVER 48.5
Tonight looks like a high scoring game.  Broncos D has been better but still not good and the Pats should finally be able to run the ball and open up some play action passing.

Vikings/Saints UNDER 47
Looking at tonight’s Monday Night Football game we see a Vikings team that will likely be able to take away the ground game from the Saints who rely on it heavily to set up the passing attack.  No question the Vikings prefer to run the ball with Peterson.  The number seems too high on this game making under look like a good pick.

First let me apologize for not getting our Sunday NFL Picks posted.  We thought we had them up but due to a technical glitch we now understand that they never got posted and our e-mails were getting delayed so we didn’t know about it until much too late – thanks to all who e-mailed us to let us know.  It is not because, as many of you suggested (some nicer than others), we sucked on Saturday.  Our NFL picks went 2-2 so you didn’t miss much although our play of the week with Buffalo did win.  But enough of that, onward with my Monday Night Football Pick!

 Baltimore Ravens +5 @Pittsburgh
I’m not normally too excited about playing on a rookie QB on the road.  But the Steelers are without Willie Parker and Big Ben is not 100% (although he will start).  The Ravens play tough D, which could be a problem for the struggling Steelers offensive line (9 sacks allowed last week!).  Baltimore also runs the ball very well.  This game looks close wire to wire so my pick is to take the points.

Our PLAY OF THE DAY wins on Sunday! In fact, it was nearly a winner by halftime!

Philadelphia Eagles +6.5 over @Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles always bring their absolute best when playing Dallas and are not intimidated playing in Dallas, they’ve gone 3-1 their last 4 trips in.  Both offenses impressive and considering injury concerns at WR for Philly, slight edge to Dallas.  But on defense I see the edge for Philly – a defensive style that has always troubled Romo.  This is shaping up like a great Monday Night Football game and my pick is to take the points and cash in your wager when a FG late breaks a tie game.
