I see a few opportunities to cash in on over/under season wins picks in the NFL this season – here’s what I like:

Carolina Panthers OVER 7 Wins - Matt Moore showed significant improvement during the season and he should be solid this season, this is at least a .500 team and 8-9 wins seems very realistic.

Buffalo Bills OVER 5 Wins - They’ll get in some shootouts this season and with an offense looking as promising as this one it’s tough not to like 6-7 wins this season.

Green Bay Packers OVER 9.5 Wins – Perhaps watching them in week 3 of the pre-season is clouding my judgement but this teams looks exceptionally good and they have a huge home field advantage.  They do have a very tough schedule but 11-5 seems very doable.

I don’t care much for pre-season football, it’s really hard to watch and even harder to predict.  But it isn’t hard to see that neither team this Monday has much depth on offense.

I’ll have more later this week but with everybody else seemingly on Indy I like the Saints and the points. Maybe I believe in destiny too much or maybe it is the complete lack of a run game for the Colts but lets not be too quick to just hand the trophy to Petting Manning.

UNDER 39
The Jets have the 2 elements needed – especially in the post season – to be in and possibly win any game against any team.  We saw exactly this last week in a big upset.  So why not again.

New Orleans Saints -3.5
OVER 53
Love the Brett Favre story but the Saints at their best are too good through the area and this is the weakness of the Vikings D if they can’t pressure on the QB and the game plan I expect to see from the Saints will get the ball out quick to make sure the Vikings D-line doesn’t kill Drew Brees.  Favre has the arm and magic to keep up for a while (thus the over play) but the Vikings can’t survive a shootout on the road against this team.

Dallas Cowboys +7.5
Saints have stumbled lately and it seems Dallas is at their best when nobody gives them a chance.

Cowboys/Saints OVER 53
This almost seems too easy – Saints could get to 53 on their own!

Tennessee Titans -3
Their ground game is too good to not bet on this team at home right now.

Philadelphia Eagles -9
Philly playing their best football right and San Fran in a tough spot after a MNF game and long trip.

Minnesota Vikings -9
Vikings have way too much balance on offense for the Panthers to stop and the Carolina offense just can’t get going.
