NFL Predictions – Week 5

San Diego Chargers -6.5 over @Miami
Chargers nearly over looked the lowly Raiders last week and were down for much of that game.  Don’t expect the same mistake here as Miami hammered the Pats 2 weeks ago.  Impressed with Dolphins improvement this season so far, but Chargers on another level.

Kansas City Chiefs +9.5 over @Carolina
Can’t see KC getting the win but also don’t see the Panthers, missing 2 starting guards on the offensive line pulling away.  Carolina tends to play close games and then win them late when they’re the superior team as they are here.  Young KC team with renewed confidence is the pick.

Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 over Washington 
Brian Westbrook likely to return which will mean a big reality check for Washington.  The Eagles D can stop the run game of Portis and the Redskins not going to win on the road with only a passing game to rely on.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Jacksonville Jaguars -4 over Pittsburgh Steelers NFL PLAY OF THE WEEK
The Steelers will be without Willie Parker again and now have lost Mendenhall so they get real thin at RB and with the offensive line really struggling we aren’t sure the Steelers passing game can get going.  Jags have the ground game going and should control the line of scrimmage in this game.
